TESTING PRODUCTS FOR THE WIRELESS COMMUNICATION CONVERGENCE REVOLUTION

The convergence of home electronics, personal computing devices and mobile industries are creating new business and product opportunities for the local electronics industry. With one of the world's highest wireless device penetration rates, Hong Kong has long been regarded as a test market for the global industry. The facilities for testing communications technologies are a priority area.

Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) has established the Wireless Communications Test Lab (WCTL) to support the industry in the development and testing of wireless products. WCTL is the only testing lab in Hong Kong equipped with 3G and 3.5G testing capability for both product testing and pre-conformance test. WCTL also has a wide ranges of RF testing equipments which cover up to the frequency of 50GHz.
